Halloween Costumes

Halloween has been a popular event in the United States for a long time and now the craze has moved to the United Kingdom. It is now not just the children who are going out trick or treating in their Halloween costumes but adults are now holding their own parties. It is a chance to indulge their darker side and fortunately there are a lot of stores that have great ideas when it comes to providing the costumes.
When it comes to Halloween costumes there are no rights or wrongs and it is just as acceptable to wear a costume that is your own fear as it would be to dress as Dracula or Frankenstein. There have been so many horror films that there is an almost inexhaustible list of characters to dress as. Some of them are clearly identifiable such as Carrie, Morticia and Leatherface, but others have been adapted to suit the wearer. For 80s Costumes, A man would clearly be able to be Edward Scissorhands, but now there is a Miss Scissorhands.
Freddy Krueger may not be an ideal costume to wear but there is no way people will not know who you are. They may be a bit worried about having you in the house due to the damage the hands can do, but apart from that it is an ideal Halloween costume.
Although clowns are supposed to be funny there is nothing to make you laugh with Pennywise. This is not the only costume where there has been a normally innocent figure and made it terrifying. There are horror Alice in Wonderland costumes – a badly damaged version of the normal one with deathly white make up and plenty of blood on show. A trip to the fairground will never be the same once you have witnessed the Halloween costume version of Aunt Sally.
Some costumes will not be depicting actual characters but can be of things that scare you in real life. There is one that you can wear so as it looks as if you are being eaten by a shark. As requests are made there will be more and more made that are everyday horrors and not ones created by TV and films. Spiders may not be capable of harming people but if you have a phobia the last thing you will want to see is a 6 foot one walk through the door.
Puppet characters have not been widely used when it comes to Halloween costumes but now it is possible to dress as a Gremlin and certain stores have Bride of Chucky costumes. There is no end to the amount of costumes that can be purchased or hired, as there are still the old style ones and the B films from the 1950s will have created so many ideas to turn into costumes.
